Portraiture, in essence, is the clear expression of your subject brought to life in the image. In this section, are some of my favourite portraits where the subject is the focus.

Sometimes the scene compliments and contextualises the image in such a way that it's as much a part of the image as the subject itself. Here are some of my favourite photos that convey that scene and subject relationship.

When it comes to portraiture, the thing that I most enjoy about the experience is the direct interaction you have with your subjects. Some people have a very clear idea of what they want from a portrait, but most don't. And so, the interaction is important to explore different scenes and expressions to find the style that compliments the subjects the most.
