Every now and then, the English Summer can provide just the right conditions for some magnificent photos! Coupled with the long summer days, these photos were taken at 20:30, the abundant greenery, a trip into the English countryside is sure to delight!
The location may be seriously scenic, but that doesn't mean that we have to be!
We weren't the only ones taking photos, during our visit I noticed 3 other groups with a photographer in tow snapping away. And, it's hardly difficult to see why. The farm is very large, offering plenty of space for everyone to enjoy their time there. As you can see, there is a relatively large incline towards the back of the lavender fields, which serves to provide some magnificent purple hues with the compression of the telephoto lenses!

Extra Tips

These photos where taken on July 10, 2025 at around 20:30. Be sure to check the website for official oppening times! A few evenings during the week in the summer months the lavender fields are open to the public late into the evening!

During the summer months, the Farm also hosts many events suitable to all ages. Why not arrive early, relax, and enjoy a Lavender Beer amongst other lavender infused delights!

Parking is plentiful, and the farm is easy to navigate to by road. While the town of Hitchin does have a train station fed regularly by London trains, the distance between station and farm is 2.5 miles.
